From the Mak Family…
There are so many great parks and places to hike around the GTA.
Last month, we visited the Lions Valley Park in Oakville.
(It’s located near Neyagawa and Dundas)
The park has a really fun trail along the Sixteen Mile Creek. You can walk under the large overpass and there’s even a kid’s playground!
We’re happy that it’s getting warmer and we are excited to finally enjoy the great oudoors.
What’s happening out there?
In March 2024, the average home sold for $1,121,615. This is up +1.2% from last month and up +1.2% from last year. There were 6,560 sales in March which is -4.48% lower than in 2023.
We are seeing a lot more activity out there, from multiple offers to houses selling in about a day.
For example, our last listing sold in 6 days with 6 offers and an incredible +$80k over asking.
This week, the Bank of Canada announced that they will keep the interest rate the same for the 6th straight time.
Every announcement hints at an imminent rate cut only “two announcements away”, but some experts feel that June will be when they will finally cut the interest rate.
It seems that many buyers are anticipating the cut and are trying to secure a home before others do.
As we are now in the Spring Market, you can expect a lot more listings to come out, but also a lot more Buyers competing for those homes.
If you are looking for the perfect house that meets all of your needs, this is the best time of the year for the largest selection.
